Payment Policy
Last updated: June 2026
Summary: Muffin Market connects customers with local vendors. Order payments go directly from the customer to the vendor. Muffin Market is not a payment intermediary for marketplace orders.
1. Role of Muffin Market
Muffin Market provides a community-driven platform for discovering local businesses, viewing offerings, and placing orders. We act as a technology and discovery layer. Unless explicitly stated for a specific Muffin Market business product, we do not process, store, or settle funds for purchases from vendors listed on the platform.
2. Customer payments to vendors
When you order from a vendor through the Muffin Market app:
- You pay the vendor directly using methods the vendor accepts (for example cash on delivery, in-person payment, UPI, or other direct transfer options).
- Payment terms (amount, timing, taxes, delivery fees) are between you and the vendor, as shown or agreed at order time.
- Muffin Market does not debit your card or bank account for the vendor’s product or service price unless a future feature is clearly labeled as a Muffin Market–facilitated payment (none is offered for standard vendor orders at this time).
- Receipts, invoices, and tax documentation for vendor sales are issued by the vendor, not by Muffin Market.
3. Payments to Muffin Market (business services)
Vendors, businesses, or partners may purchase services from Muffin Market for business operations (for example platform features, listings, or operational support). When Muffin Market is the seller of those services:
- Payment methods, billing cycle, and pricing will be disclosed at signup or in your service agreement.
- Invoices and receipts for those charges are issued by Muffin Market or its billing entity as applicable.
- Cancellation and refund questions for these charges are handled under our Cancellation Policy and Refund Policy.
4. Security and data
Muffin Market does not require customers to submit payment credentials to us for standard vendor checkout. Protect direct-payment details you share with vendors. For how we handle personal data, see our Privacy Policy.
5. Failed or disputed vendor payments
Issues with a direct payment to a vendor (failed transfer, duplicate charge, non-delivery after payment) must be resolved with the vendor and your payment provider. Muffin Market may offer in-app communication tools but is not responsible for executing or reversing vendor-side payments.
6. Changes
We may update this Payment Policy as our products evolve. Continued use of the platform after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy, subject to any additional consent required by law.
